La Poumayrette is situated in the beautiful and unspoilt region of the Midi-Pyrenees in south west France.
It lies at the head of a valley in the Gresigne Forest, one of the last great oak forests in Europe.
The house is approached down a country track. It is very quiet and very private, with magnificent views down the valley.
In the spring the meadows surrounding the house are full of wild orchids and poppies. In summer the garden is alive with butterflies and hummingbird moths, and from the west terrace you may see red deer, buzzards, hares and the occasional wild boar.
Visitors come to La Poumayrette for its peace and tranquility. With no near neighbours and the nearest village several kilometres away you can completely relax.
Children can roam the woods and meadows or simply splash in the swimming pool.
Keen walkers and cyclists have an endless network of footpaths and country lanes to explore, and for those with an interest in history there are the beautiful medieval fortified villages to visit.
Why not visit in Spring? ... It's a beautiful time of year and prices are much lower.
